Lisa Darsonval recently spoke at the Matchmakers Alliance 2014 ‘Matchmakers and Dating Coaches Conference’ in Sandpiper Bay, Fla., where she discussed why holding singles events are important.
At her presentation, Lisa advised fellow matchmakers and dating coaches to use newspapers, TV, and radio stories to get exposure as she has done successfully, and will continue to do to promote her brand. “More people join your membership,” she said. “And, you will meet more potential clients by having events.”
The idea, Lisa said, is to bring singles together to share some fun and companionship.
“When you provide a positive experience,” Lisa said, “people spread the word and referrals go up.”
She said the events offer increased exposure and opportunities for positive experiences. After almost two years of putting on a series of singles events that have captured not only the hearts of couples, but also the attention of South Coast media (including two feature articles in the Santa Barbara News-Press as well as a pre-Valentine’s Day story about her on KEY-TV), Lisa is well-qualified to lend her expertise.
It is safe to say that word of Lisa’s events gets around, and fast. “Hosting events has helped me promote other businesses and then they share with their contacts,” Lisa said. “The events also bring more visits to my website where attendees leave comments which help boost my SEO.” Lisa said she increases her SEO by linking sponsor websites on her website- which brings more interaction. She also promotes them on Facebook and gets likes, shares and comments on her posts. In addition, she said events can also bring in extra revenue to a matchmaker’s coffers.
Lisa looks forward to bring more hearts together on May 1st at Blush Restaurant for a casual “First Thursday” event and on May 18th at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in Carpinteria for her Meet Your Match events.
Stayed tuned for more singles events from SB Matchmaking throughout the year.
